The Scout is tipping four low-owned players for a breakthrough Gameweek in 2023/24 Fantasy Premier League. Each player can be found in under six per cent of squads ahead of Saturday’s 11:00 GMT deadline.

Dan Burn (Newcastle) £4.4m

At a cost of only £4.4m, Newcastle United’s left-back has the schedule to offer managers major value for many Gameweeks to come.

According to the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), eight of the Magpies’ next 10 matches – including their home encounter with Luton Town this weekend – score only two.

Burn has boasted a major attacking threat this season, delivering two goals and an assist in addition to five clean sheets.

His 12 shots in the box, four big chances and five shots on target are all identical to his fellow defender Fabian Schar (£5.2m), underlining the left-back’s appeal as a budget pick at the back.

Dwight McNeil (Everton) £5.4m

The Everton star offers strong all-round potential at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

McNeil has scored both his goals this season, and supplied three of his four assists, over his last eight starts.

His delivery at free-kicks and corners could prove a potent weapon for the hosts in Saturday’s encounter. The Toffees have registered 102 shots from set-pieces in 2023/24, the second-most in the league.

Spurs, meanwhile, have been weak at defending such situations. Indeed, they place among the bottom two sides for conceding both headed shots and shots from set-pieces this season.

Gustavo Hamer (Sheff Utd) £5.0m

The midfielder has markedly improved his creative output since the return of Chris Wilder as Sheffield United manager.

Hamer has delivered all three of his assists this season in his six outings under Wilder, including one against his visitors Aston Villa in Gameweek 18.

The 26-year-old has supplied 15 key passes in that run, more than double the total of any team-mate, while his nine shots rank third.

That marks Hamer out as an all-round prospect against a Villa side who have managed only two clean sheets in 11 away matches this season.

Ben Chilwell (Chelsea) £5.4m

The Chelsea defender stepped up his return from injury in midweek by making his first start since Gameweek 4.

Although he ended up with a -1 score in the 4-1 loss at Liverpool after being booked and replaced at half-time, Chilwell’s limited minutes at Anfield suggest he could retain his starting spot at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have improved their resilience at Stamford Bridge recently, conceding only one goal conceded in their last three matches at home.

Added to his attacking potential, Chilwell’s prospects for returns at both ends of the pitch could reward managers willing to take the risk on his pitch time.
