How to navigate Double Gameweek 25 and Blank Gameweek 26 in FPL

The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts give advice on how to navigate Double Gameweek 25 and Blank Gameweek 26, including which chips managers should use.

Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

I'm loading up with Manchester City and Liverpool players for Double Gameweek 25 (DGW25) and will be playing my Triple Captain chip. My current problem is that I have Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur players as well as Luton Town's Alfie Doughty (£4.6m) who ideally, I'd like to keep.

My strategy is to play the Free Hit chip in Blank Gameweek 26 (BGW26) which will give me the opportunity to grab a couple of differentials such as Wolverhampton Wanderers players, who play at home to Sheffield United, and perhaps Rasmus Hojlund (£7.1m) or Bruno Fernandes (£8.2m) from Manchester United for their home match against Fulham.

Utkarsh Dalmia (@ZopharFPL)

I won't be using my Free Hit chip in either DGW25 or BGW26 and I haven't gone too heavy on Liverpool. Four or five players who have two fixtures is enough, with more of a focus on Man City. This gives a good balance. It is perfectly fine to field 10 players in BGW26, especially if you are short of defenders.

Ben Crabtree (@FCCrab_Dogg)

I have five Double Gameweek players. That is enough. I will likely roll a transfer through DGW25 into BGW26 to ensure I can make two changes to field a strong XI.

Nick Harris (@WGTA_Nick)

I'm comfortable I have enough coverage in DGW25 and then enough to put out a team for BGW26. Sometimes you can take too many unnecessary hits to increase your coverage but this isn't always worth it just for the sake of one Gameweek.

Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)

I feel prepared going into DGW25 and BGW26 and am in a fortunate position of owning six players who have a Double Gameweek this week. I don't have the headache of what to do with Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8.6m) and Richarlison (£7.2m) because I don't own them. That makes navigating BGW26 easier. As things stand I will be rolling my transfer in DGW25 to give me two free moves in BGW26 to sell a couple of my players without a game so I should be able to field an XI without taking any hits.

Pras (@Pras_FPL)

I am looking to stay with my five Double Gameweek players - Diogo Jota (£8.3m), Darwin Nunez (£7.6m), Virgil van Dijk (£6.4m), Phil Foden (£8.0m) and Erling Haaland (£14.4m) - for DGW25 and roll a free transfer this week. Next week all three Liverpool players will go out for a -4 to three players that play in BGW26 and ideally also in Gameweek 29, which is likely to be another Blank Gameweek.

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

I am playing my Triple Captain chip this week. After that I am planning to hold my chips for Gameweek 30 and beyond. Heading into BGW26 I will have Cole Palmer (£5.9m), Pedro Porro (£5.8m), Doughty and Jota blanking. I will then sell Jota as I will eventually want Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) once Liverpool's Blank Gameweeks are over. I will invest in someone like Pedro Neto (£5.7m) or Hwang Hee-chan (£5.5m) for their match against Sheff Utd so that I will have a full XI for BGW26.

Harry Daniels (@FPL_Harry)

My plan is to roll my transfer this week allowing two moves in BGW26 which will enable me to field a full XI. It is important to remember you cannot "win" all the Gameweeks. A few hits here and there are worth saving your Wildcard.
