Nottingham Forest midfielder Ateef Konate has won the October 2022 Premier League 2 Player of the Month award.
The 21-year-old earns the accolade after scoring five goals across five Premier League 2 Division 2 matches, with two of his strikes proving to be the decisive goals in 1-0 wins against Derby County and Sunderland respectively.
He topped a seven-man shortlist that included Harry Leonard (Blackburn Rovers), Omari Hutchinson (Chelsea), Charlie Whitaker (Everton), Oliver O'Neill (Fulham), Shola Shoretire (Manchester United) and Joe White (Newcastle United).
Konate was selected as the winner by the Premier League Football Development Panel after PL2 club coaches chose the best performances by an opposing player in each of their PL2 matches during October.
