Crystal Palace v Wolves predicted line-ups

Crystal Palace: The problems continue to mount for Crystal Palace, who lost Maxence Lacroix to injury in UEFA Conference League action in midweek, while Chadi Riad went off with cramp. With Jefferson Lerma still out, that leaves a defensive headache. Oliver Glasner suggested Tyrick Mitchell might be an option to fill in or he may bring back Jaydee Canvot. Jean-Philippe Mateta and Eddie Nketiah remain weeks away from returning.

Wolves: Angel Gomes lasted only 22 minutes against Arsenal on Wednesday after a back spasm. He is back in training, but might not be risked again so quickly. Rob Edwards says Toti Gomes could be involved, although that seems likely to be off the bench after so long out. The manager also confirmed there are a few “walking wounded” that need to be checked on. Tolu Arokodare may well return alongside Adam Armstrong up top.

Nottingham Forest v Liverpool predicted line-ups

Nottingham Forest: Vitor Pereira enjoyed the perfect start to his Nottingham Forest reign with a brilliant midweek UEFA Europa League win at Fenerbahce. Expect the new manager to change very little for Liverpool’s visit, unless anyone is in need of a rest. Nicolas Dominguez and Lorenzo Lucca appear the most likely candidates to come in if Pereira fancies altering anything.

Liverpool: Arne Slot provided a pre-match update on a number of potential right-backs, confirming that Joe Gomez is available to start, and Jeremie Frimpong should be back next week, but Wataru Endo will be out “for a long time”. If Gomez does make Slot’s XI, the question is where Dominik Szoboszlai will play, after being deployed in all manner of different positions in recent weeks.

Sunderland v Fulham predicted line-ups

Sunderland: The big news for Sunderland is the potential return of captain Granit Xhaka, who has “more or less trained fully this week”. We will have to see if he starts after a month out, but one person definitely missing is Reinildo, who has been ruled out for a month. Either Trai Hume or Dennis Cirkin will likely take his left-back spot. Nilson Angulo made his first start in Sunderland’s last Premier League match – he could compete with Chemsdine Talbi for a place.

Fulham: Marco Silva has plenty of defensive options available, with multiple players competing for three of the back four spots (only Joachim Andersen looks a certain starter). Samuel Chukwueze has been ruled out, which opens up a spot on the left. Kevin looks most likely to fill it, while Oscar Bobb made his first start in last weekend’s FA Cup win at Stoke City.

Spurs v Arsenal predicted line-ups

Spurs: A new manager but the same injury problems for Spurs to contend with. Igor Tudor is known to favour a 3-4-2-1 system, but a raft of absentees leave him with few players to fill those spots. Tudor must choose between Archie Gray and the inexperienced Souza as one of his wing-backs, while he knows Randal Kolo Muani from their time together at Juventus last season. Yves Bissouma could come into the equation for a manager who prefers a combative style.

Arsenal: Mikel Arteta said there is a “big possibility” Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz will be available for this match. Whether that is from the start or on the bench remains to be seen. The Arsenal manager also confirmed there are no new injuries from the midweek draw against Wolves, suggesting Leandro Trossard and Bukayo Saka have shaken off knocks.

Everton v Man Utd predicted line-ups

Everton: With Seamus Coleman fit again, Everton’s only absentees are the long-term injured Jack Grealish and suspended Jake O’Brien. Nathan Patterson seems most likely to come in at right-back, with a choice between Tyrique George and Harrison Armstrong for one spot on the wing.

Man Utd: Manchester United head into this match looking to extend their unbeaten streak under Michael Carrick with the same players at his disposal as their last outing almost a fortnight ago. Expect few, if any, changes to a side that has been settled under the interim manager.
