When making their transfer decisions, Fantasy Premier League managers must take into account not only rotation but the absence of players in their squads through suspension after being sent off or reaching an accumulation of yellow cards.
According to The FA's disciplinary rules, any player who earns five bookings from their side's first 19 Premier League matches of a season serve a one-match ban in the same competition. That point of the season has now passed.
Players who accumulate 10 yellow cards in Premier League matches up to and including their side's 32nd fixture will serve a two-match suspension in the competition.
Premier League yellow cards are not carried over to the EFL Cup or FA Cup. But when players receive a red card, they ARE carried over to - and from - the domestic cup competitions. The suspension period for red cards covers the Premier League, EFL Cup and FA Cup.
