Manchester United's Patrick Dorgu has been voted the Premier League Player of the Matchweek for Matchweek 23 after his influential performance in his team's impressive victory over league leaders Arsenal.
It is the second time the 21-year-old has won the award this season after also doing so in Matchweek 18 following his match-winner against Newcastle United.
Dorgu scored a sensational strike - his third goal in his last six league appearances - during Man Utd's 3-2 win at Emirates Stadium, smashing a half-volley in off the underside of the crossbar after neat interplay with captain Bruno Fernandes outside Arsenal's box.
It was Dorgu's second goal in as many games under United's new head coach Michael Carrick, following his strike in the 2-0 win over Manchester City, with the Denmark international thriving in a more advanced position as a left-winger in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
“Pat’s been a big player for us," said Carrick after the game. "Obviously he’s scored two goals but in terms of the threat and athleticism and quality, he’s been immense down the side with Luke [Shaw] against two teams that ask a lot of questions.”

Unfortunately for Man Utd and Dorgu, the youngster came off injured towards the end of Sunday's victory, and media reports claim that he could face up to 10 weeks out with a hamstring problem.
Dorgu claimed a massive 71 per cent of the vote, with Chelsea's Estevao Willian his nearest challenger on 12 per cent.
The other nominees were Man City's Antoine Semenyo (six per cent), Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez (five per cent), West Ham United's Mateus Fernandes (four per cent) and Burnley's Martin Dubravka (two per cent).
This is the eighth time a Man Utd player has been named Player of the Matchweek in 2025/26. Dorgu is one of two multiple-winners along with Fernandes, who has won three times. Harry Maguire (in MW8), Bryan Mbeumo (MW9) and Benjamin Sesko (MW21) are the others.
