Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has been voted the Premier League Player of the Matchweek for Matchweek 22, following his inspirational performance against Manchester City.
Fernandes is the first player to be voted Player of the Matchweek three times, after previously claiming the honour in Matchweeks 13 and 15.
Back in his favoured No 10 position, the Man Utd captain led by example at Old Trafford, registering the most tackles (four) of any player on the pitch and creating the most chances (six).
Having been denied a goal and an assist by the offside flag in the first half, he eventually set up the opener for Bryan Mbeumo.
Everything Man Utd did well went through him, as they earned a first home derby win over Man City since January 2023.
After the match, interim head coach Michael Carrick said of Fernandes: "I thought he was fantastic, the way he played the position. He made the difference."

This is the seventh time a Man Utd player has been named Player of the Matchweek, following the successes of Harry Maguire in Matchweek 8, Mbeumo in Matchweek 9, Fernandes himself twice earlier in the season, Patrick Dorgu in Matchweek 18 and most recently Benjamin Sesko in Matchweek 21.
Fernandes picked up 63 per cent of the fan vote, while his closest challenger, Man Utd team-mate Kobbie Mainoo, had 21 per cent.
The other nominees were West Ham United's Crysencio Summerville (six per cent), Everton midfielder James Garner (four per cent), Sunderland's Nordi Mukiele (three per cent) and Burnley goalkeeper Martin Dubravka (three per cent).
