With dedicated funding, the Premier League is removing barriers for women and girls through community programmes, grassroots football, the professional game and career pathways.
Between 2025 and 2028, the Premier League is investing £12.7 million specifically into women and girls' football, in addition to a £20 million loan for Women's Super League Football.
Premier League community and grassroots funding for girls
League-funded community programmes are delivered by 164 club charities to provide free sport and education – including Premier League Changemakers, providing leadership training for girls and young women.
Each season, more than 100,000 women and girls take part in Premier League-funded community programmes.
Premier League investment of £6.8 million maintains a network of 70 free Girls' Emerging Talent Centres, creating a wide and diverse talent pool for the future game.
Co-funding for the Football Foundation has provided facilities used by 18,500+ women and girls teams. This includes the Lionesses HERe to Play Fund, specifically created to support inclusive and accessible facilities for women and girls.
Supporting professional pathways
The Premier League is supporting the FA Women's National League (FAWNL) strategy with £2.7 million from 2025-2028.
More than 50 FAWNL are also supported by using sites invested in by the Premier League Stadium Fund.

This includes investment via The FA to support 1,200 young people through leadership courses, training and mentoring, as well as Premier League Changemakers, which has provided opportunities for 1,500 girls and young women to access leadership training
