With the vote for the EA SPORTS Player of the Month now open, we profile each of the eight December nominees.
Mohamed Salah
The Egyptian kept Liverpool unbeaten in seven matches last month.
With five goals he took his tally in the Premier League to 17, also becoming the first Reds player since 2013/14 to reach 20 goals in all competitions in a single season.
Salah will be hoping to claim back-to-back awards after winning in November.
What his manager says
"He's in a good moment, and hopefully he will stay in this good moment; that's much more important for us," Jurgen Klopp told Liverpool's official website last month.
"How could I still be surprised by his impact? He's been here for a few months already and was from the first day already involved in everything in the team."
