Omar Marmoush's sensational strike against AFC Bournemouth has been voted the 2024/25 Guinness Goal of the Season.
Marmoush's stunning 30-yard effort in the 14th minute on 20 May opened the scoring to set Pep Guardiola's Manchester City on the road to a 3-1 win against the Cherries in their penultimate match of the campaign.
Collecting the ball just inside Bournemouth's half, the Egyptian strode towards goal before unleashing a dipping effort that flew past Kepa Arrizabalaga, via a post, and into the top corner.
Marmoush's goal received the most combined votes by the public and a panel of football experts, topping a shortlist that also featured each of the season's Guinness Goal of the Month winners.
His goal beat those of Carlos Baleba, David Brooks, Jens Cajuste, Jhon Duran, Alexander Isak, Nicolas Jackson, Kaoru Mitoma, Cole Palmer and Harry Wilson.
Marmoush becomes the first Man City player to win the Goal of the Season award and the second Egyptian following Mohamed Salah's solo stunner against Man City in 2021/22.
