The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts are revealing whether they plan to use their Wildcard chip in Gameweek 6.

The chip allows managers to completely overhaul their 15-man squad without taking any hits. Once the Wildcard is activated, it cannot be reversed and managers must finalise their teams ahead of the next FPL deadline, which is at 11:00 BST on Saturday 28 September.

I'm planning to hold firm with my team as I already have two Arsenal players and Erling Haaland (£15.3m). With a couple of transfers I can get my team fairly close to the optimal Wildcard team. I will likely Wildcard somewhere between Gameweek 12-16. However, if circumstances change then I'm happy to bring that forward.

Pranil Sheth (@lateriser12)

I am Wildcarding this week as I have many problems in my team such as Alexander Isak (£8.3m), Anthony Gordon (£7.3m) and Diogo Jota (£7.5m), as well as double Crystal Palace defence. I think this is a good time to Wildcard. Arsenal now have really good fixtures and I have none of their players. Chelsea and AFC Bournemouth also have attractive players.

Utkarsh Dalmia (@ZopharFPL)

I activated my Wildcard on Saturday evening. I had a lot of issues in my squad such as a double-up in Palace's defence, Jota, two Newcastle players and no Arsenal assets. It was the right time for me to triple up on the Gunners and bring in more Manchester City, Brentford, Everton and Liverpool players for their turn of fixtures.

Holly Shand (@HollyShand)

I've activated my Wildcard this week to jump on fixture swings for Chelsea, Arsenal and Brentford. I didn't own any of their players in my squad. It also allows me to move away from from triple-ups from Liverpool and Fulham given their tougher upcoming schedules.

Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)

I was close to pulling the trigger ahead of Gameweek 4 but managed to hold out until this week. I have now activated my Wildcard, which allows me to build a squad and jump on players from teams who have good fixtures.

Harry Daniels (@FPL_Harry)

I currently plan on holding my Wildcard until Gameweek 12. I have enough players in place to feel I can get away without using it. There are more fixture swings in Gameweek 12 and it is also the final international break of 2024.

Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

Having already used my Wildcard chip, I can see why many FPL managers are eyeing it up this week, particularly with a fixture swing towards Brentford, Arsenal and, from Gameweek 7, Man City. That said, many managers already have Haaland, Gabriel (£6.1m), Bryan Mbeumo (£7.2m) and others in place, so the urgency might have died down a little. If you find yourself in that position, it's okay to hold and have a look at potentially Gameweek 12, when Chelsea, Bournemouth and Brighton in particular embark on a superb run of fixtures.
