The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts predict how players will be priced this season and explain their reasoning.

Goalkeepers
David Raya (Arsenal)

Harry Daniels (@FPL_Harry): Arsenal were incredible defensively last season and Raya won the Golden Glove as a result. It seems likely they will continue this form into 2024/25 so Raya, who started this season at £5.0m and finished at £5.3m, will be at least £5.5m. There is a chance he creeps in at £6.0m given the likely price increase the other Arsenal defenders will also receive.
Prediction: Raya £5.5m

Jordan Pickford (Everton)

Nick Harris (@WGTA_Nick): Pickford started last season at £4.5m and after a few price rises ended up at £4.8m. He proved to be excellent value, finishing as the top-scoring 'keeper in the game, with plenty of saves and clean sheets for Everton. I can see him being priced at £5.0m this season, which could still prove excellent value if the Toffees can maintain their defensive solidity.
Prediction: Pickford £5.0m

Djordje Petrovic (Chelsea)

Utkarsh Dalmia (@ZopharFPL): Petrovic established himself as Chelsea's first-choice goalkeeper by the end of the last campaign and that should see him rise by £0.5m to £5.0m, on the back of the Blues keeping eight clean sheets. However, there is a chance a new head coach Enzo Maresca could prefer Robert Sanchez, so managers will perhaps need to tread with caution.
Prediction: Petrovic £5.0m

Alphonse Areola (West Ham)

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily): Areola was the budget goalkeeper of choice last season after being priced at £4.0m. Having finished as the sixth highest-scoring goalkeeper, as well as the 'keeper who registered the most save points, I expect him to earn a price rise for 2024/25. A valuation of £4.5m seems fair given the lack of clean sheets at West Ham during the latter part of last season.
Prediction: Areola £4.5m

Ederson (Man City)

Pranil Sheth (@lateriser12): Ederson has produced 121 and 112 points respectively over his last two seasons. He came in at £5.5m last season, but I wonder if he will be priced down to £5.0m after a downturn in his production to give FPL managers a decision, especially if they put the Manchester City defenders at £5.5m. But I'm expecting £5.5m.
Prediction: Ederson £5.5m

Guglielmo Vicario (Spurs)

Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice): Only seven clean sheets for Spurs last season should suggest fairly modest price points for all their defensive assets. I'm not sure we will see a drop for Vicario, though, and expect him to be the same price for 2024/25 at £5.0m.
Prediction: Vicario £5.0m

Andre Onana (Man Utd)

Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily): Ranking fourth among goalkeepers in 2023/24 Fantasy wasn’t a bad result for Onana in the end, with Arsenal’s Raya only bagging two more points than him. Alisson and Ederson started last season at £5.5m as the two flagship 'keepers. I don’t see Onana up there with those guys, so I predict Onana remaining at £5.0m.
Prediction: Onana £5.0m

Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa)

Az Phillips (@FPLBlackBox_Az): Martinez has been priced at £5.0m for the last few seasons and I can't see that changing, despite 2023/24 being the lowest-scoring season out of the four campaigns where he's been a first-team regular.

Villa didn't build their league success on clean sheets - Martinez himself kept only eight, compared with Raya at the same price, who managed to double that. But in a team at the top end of the table, likely to make some defensive signings in the summer, Unai Emery will probably hope to improve on last season's total, meaning Martinez might not be the worst option.
Prediction: Martinez £5.0m

Alisson (Liverpool)

Pras (@Pras_FPL): So much depends on how solid Liverpool are under Arne Slot and whether Alisson is still in that rare sweet spot of playing in a good defence and making plenty of saves. I'd expect him to come in at £5.5m again.
Prediction: Alisson £5.5m
