The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts reveal what they are planning to do for Blank Gameweek 29 (BGW29), when there are only FOUR fixtures taking place.

Some experts will be using their Free Hit chip, while others are using transfers to navigate the reduced round of matches.

What the experts say
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

Free-Hit is a perfectly good option if you still have it, but if not there is a core of five or six players that you should focus on bringing in. Son Heung-min (£9.9m) and Jarrod Bowen (£8.0m) in particular, as not only do they play in BGW29, but they have decent fixtures thereafter.

Pranil Sheth (@Lateriser12)

I currently have seven players with a fixture in BGW29 and one free transfer. I am looking to take a hit or two to field nine or 10 players and save my Free Hit. The chip might not have more value later in the season, but I am willing to chance that it does because I'm personally not convinced about using it this week.

Utkarsh Dalmia (@ZopharFPL)

I'm not using my Free Hit chip as I already have nine players with a fixture and will be adding James Maddison (£8.0m) and Ivan Toney (£8.1m) for a hit. The clean sheet prospects don't look great this Gameweek, so if you own the main attackers - Maddison, Bowen, Son, Toney, Ollie Watkins (£9.0m) and Carlton Morris (£5.2m), you should look to save the chip.

Nick Harris (@WGTA_Nick

I'm not Free-Hitting and happy to go into the Gameweek perhaps a player or two short of fielding a full XI. In terms of players I am targeting this week, Toney for Dominic Solanke (£7.2m) and Maddison or Pedro Porro (£5.8m) for a hit to boost up my Spurs numbers are the moves I'm looking at.

Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)

If you're not using the Free Hit, covering the main players is the key. If you're doing that, fielding seven or eight "good" players is fine. Buy the players that can really hurt you, like Toney and Maddison, who will be popular on Free Hit, alongside higher-owned assets such as Son and Watkins. Don't waste transfers on defenders, as clean sheets don't look likely.

Harry Daniels (@FPL_Harry)

I have only four players this week and have always planned to use my Free Hit this week. Personally, if I owned seven "good" players, mainly focusing on attackers this week as clean sheets look difficult to predict, then I would consider holding the chip.

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

I have six players with a fixture this week, although Micky van de Ven (£4.4m) is a major injury doubt and I don't have any Spurs attackers or Toney. This means that my team would need to take several hits to make it ready for BGW29, and this would also mean selling players who I would like to own again from Gameweek 30. Therefore I am planning to Free-Hit.

The Free Hit chip is made to navigate difficult weeks and so playing it now will help in BGW29 and will also mean I can delay using my Wildcard for a few weeks. When it comes to BGW29, focus on the key attacking assets, prioritising the likes of Son, Maddison, Toney, Bowen and Watkins.
