A home meeting with Fulham can help Bruno Fernandes (£8.2m) get back to his best in Fantasy Premier League.

The Manchester United playmaker’s total of 17 chances created in the last four Gameweeks sits joint-top among all players in Fantasy, yet he has managed only two assists.

Fernandes’ free-kicks and corners will pose big problems for his visitors this weekend. Fulham have conceded a league-high 30 shots at set-pieces over their last four matches.

The midfielder is picked in a best XI that lines up in a 3-4-3 formation, with Erling Haaland (£14.4m) handed the armband and Bukayo Saka (£9.1m) named as vice-captain.

Scout Selection BGW26
Jose Sa (Wolves) £5.0m

The Wolverhampton Wanderers’ goalkeeper has stepped up his output recently, claiming two of his three clean sheets this season in the last six Gameweeks. Sa can deliver another shutout at home to a Sheffield United side who have failed to score in two of their last three matches.

Gabriel (Arsenal) £5.2m

Three goals, an assist and three clean sheets in his last eight appearances have made the Arsenal centre-back the top target among defenders in Blank Gameweek 26 (BGW26). Gabriel’s impact at both ends of the pitch can reward those 187,000 new owners when the Gunners entertain Newcastle United on Saturday evening.

Alex Moreno (Aston Villa) £5.2m

Aston Villa’s left-back boasts strong all-round potential in Fantasy at home to Nottingham Forest. Moreno has scored twice and kept two clean sheets in his seven starts since returning from long-term injury, averaging 4.7 points per match in those outings.

Diogo Dalot (Man Utd) £5.2m

Man Utd’s right-back welcomes Fulham on the back of an assist, a clean sheet and two bonus points in the last three Gameweeks. Dalot has also displayed his potential for goals recently, with five shots in the last four matches more than twice the total of any other Red Devils’ defender.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) £9.1m

Three double-figure hauls in his last four appearances underline the Arsenal winger’s improved prospects as a captaincy option. Saka has scored six of his 12 goals this season in that spell, while his six big chances were double the total of any team-mate.

Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd) £8.2m

Fernandes scored and collected 11 points in his previous meeting with Fulham this season.

Phil Foden (Man City) £8.1m

A visit to AFC Bournemouth gives the Manchester City star the chance to end a disappointing run of three straight blanks. Foden has scored four of his eight goals this season in his last three away appearances, including a hat-trick and career-high 20 points against Brentford

Hwang Hee-chan (Wolves) £5.5m

The South Korean is Wolves’ top-scoring player in home matches this season, earning 58 points thanks to six goals and an assist. Hwang’s 16 shots in the box and five big chances at Molineux also rank top for Wolves, giving him the edge over team-mate Pedro Neto (£5.7m) as their go-to attacker against Sheff Utd.

Erling Haaland (Man City) £14.4m

Man City’s forward has averaged 7.0 points per match since returning to their first XI in Gameweek 23. Haaland’s 24 shots and 21 shots in the box over that period were league-high figures and, added to his 75 per cent ownership, show just why he is expected to be the runaway captaincy favourite for BGW26.

Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) £8.7m

Aston Villa’s striker has returned to top form with four goals and three assists in his last four matches. Watkins entertains a Nott’m Forest side who are without a clean sheet in their last seven matches on the road and have conceded an average of two goals per away match in 2023/24.

Ivan Toney (Brentford) £8.2m

Brentford’s forward visits a West Ham United side who have conceded 14 goals in their last six matches. Toney produced four goals and an assist in the same period, with his eight big chances ranking second among all players in Fantasy.
