A kind upcoming schedule for Brentford is likely to make Bryan Mbeumo (£6.8m) a must-have for many managers in Fantasy Premier League.

Following their home encounter with Arsenal this weekend, the Bees enjoy a run of matches against three of the four sides who have yet to keep a clean sheet this season; Luton Town, Brighton & Hove Albion and Sheffield United.

Indeed, according to the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), five of Brentford's seven matches from Gameweek 14 onwards score only two.

Mbeumo has been the top performer for Brentford over the first 12 Gameweeks, climbing to fourth place in the midfielder standings on the back of six goals and three assists.

His potential for more attacking returns is backed up further by the underlying statistics.

His 34 shots, 11 big chances and 15 shots on target are all team-leading totals. In addition, he is Brentford’s first-choice penalty-taker in the absence of Ivan Toney (£7.9m).

Mbeumo also boasts a big share of set-piece duties and has created 19 chances, just one behind Mathias Jensen (£5.4m) at the summit for Thomas Frank’s side.

Managers should just be aware that both Brentford and Manchester City have a Blank Gameweek 18, which certainly limits the appeal of looking beyond Mbeumo and Erling Haaland (£14.0m) as the key assets for each club.

Nonetheless, Brentford have kept clean sheets against Burnley and Chelsea in the last four Gameweeks and offer budget rotation options at the back.

Goalkeeper Mark Flekken (£4.5m) delivered his most defiant display of the season against Liverpool last time out, making eight saves.

Ben Mee (£4.8m) has dropped £0.2m from his opening cost in Fantasy and has recently returned from injury. The centre-back boasts a significant threat from set-pieces, producing three goals and two assists last season.
