The weekend displays of Dominic Solanke and Eberechi Eze were a reminder how Fantasy Premier League managers can be rewarded by targeting clubs battling relegation during the run-in.

The £5.5m players both recorded season-high hauls to help their teams move further clear of the bottom three.

AFC Bournemouth forward Solanke scored once and supplied two assists in their 3-2 victory at Tottenham Hotspur, claiming 15 points.

Having won four of their last six matches, the Cherries now have a favourable upcoming schedule that can help them build momentum.

Six of their remaining seven opponents are bottom-half teams.

The underlying numbers show why Solanke will be a huge influence on AFC Bournemouth's attack.

His 19 shots in the box in his last six matches place second among all players in Fantasy and are 12 more than any team-mate.

Eze's 100% record under Hodgson

Eze scored both goals in Crystal Palace’s 2-0 win at Southampton.

Palace have won all three matches since the return of Roy Hodgson as manager, and Eze is the only player who has attacking returns in each of those encounters.

The midfielder has three goals, an assist and 28 points across those wins over Leicester City, Leeds United and Southampton

Like AFC Bournemouth, Palace face a number of their relegation rivals over the run-in.

Hodgson’s side play five of the bottom eight in the final seven Gameweeks.

Target McNeil and Dawson?

Everton’s Dwight McNeil (£5.1m) and Wolverhampton WanderersCraig Dawson (£4.8m) have also been standout picks among the relegation-threatened sides recently.

McNeil’s goal in a 3-1 loss to Fulham on Saturday earned him 10 points, his second double-figure haul in three matches at Goodison Park.

Dawson helped Wolves claim a third clean sheet in their last four home encounters, earning eight points in a 2-0 win over Brentford.

He has amassed 22 points in that run, also claiming shutouts against Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea.

Wolves’ remaining opponents at Molineux suggest Dawson can be a handy rotation option for managers in Fantasy.

According to the Fixture Difficulty Ratings, each of their final three home matches, against Palace, Aston Villa and Everton, score only two.
