Arsene Wenger expects the January transfer window to be "very quiet" for Arsenal after revealing that Hector Bellerin and Francis Coquelin are among a number of players returning from injury and back in contention to face Burnley on Sunday.

Bellerin and Coquelin have not featured in Arsenal's last two matches due to respective ankle and hamstring injuries, while Kieran Gibbs is also back after having been sidelined since Boxing Day with a knee problem.

Their return as well as Danny Welbeck’s recovery from a knee injury has prompted Wenger, who has extended Per Mertesacker's contract, to say he is not planning to reinforce his squad this month.

“I expect it to be a very quiet period because we have Welbeck coming back now,“ he told Arsenal.com. “Offensively we are very strong. We have many, many players who can come in and I don’t expect to do anything special.”
