Mac Allister warmed up for his pair of matches with a 14-point haul against West Ham United last weekend.

He converted a penalty and supplied an assist in the 4-0 win, also collecting the maximum three bonus points.

Mac Allister’s potential in Fantasy has recently been lifted by a new, more advanced role for the Seagulls.

He had been stationed in a midfield double-pivot earlier in the season but has played as a No 10 since Gameweek 20.

The new data for Expected Goal Involvement (xGI) lends further weight to Mac Allister’s appeal in his new position.

Brighton's midfielders GW20-26
Player xGI Goals & assists Mins/xGI
Mac Allister 4.0 2 109.7
March 3.7 4 140.9
Mitoma 2.5 5 209.9

Although he has scored or assisted only two goals since Gameweek 20, Mac Allister's xGI total is 4.0, meaning he has been statistically expected to have doubled his actual tally.

His xGI is more than his midfield team-mates Kaoru Mitoma (£5.5m) and Solly March (£5.1m).

Indeed, Mac Allister’s average of 109.7 minutes per expected goal or assist is over 100 minutes quicker than Mitoma during that period.

While the reliable Mitoma remains the go-to pick among the Brighton midfielders, pairing him with Mac Allister can be a very profitable tactic for the short-term.
