The Spurs striker took his tally of Boxing Day goals to 10, moving one ahead of Robbie Fowler.

Kane has struck in all seven of his Premier League appearances on 26 December, the longest such run in the competition's history.

He has also now scored against all 32 teams he has faced in the Premier League.

Sitting second in the race for the Castrol Golden Boot with 13 goals, Kane has moved five behind Manchester City's Erling Haaland.

Kane's header, which sparked a comeback for the visitors from two goals down, helped to prolong an impressive unbeaten streak for his club.

Spurs are unbeaten in their last 16 league matches on Boxing Day, winning 12 and drawing four. It is the longest ongoing undefeated run in England's top four tiers.

Shearer's record also in sight

Kane tends to maintain his strong festive form into the new year.

He has scored 20 goals in matches taking place between Boxing Day and 4 January, only three behind Alan Shearer's record.

Kane will hope to at least equal Shearer's mark in the coming days as he prepares to face Aston Villa and Crystal Palace over the festive period.

And the Spurs star may also have an eye on a third competition best held by his former team-mate Dele Alli

Dele jointly holds the record for the most goals scored over a single festive period.

He struck six times in three matches for Spurs in 2016/17, netting braces against Southampton, Watford and Chelsea.
