GW20 Captains: Son can outscore Salah

The Scout says Spurs star has history against Southampton and can be a better pick than Egyptian

Son Heung-min (£10.5m) has the form and fixture to outscore Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) in Gameweek 20 of Fantasy Premier League.

Owned by 65 per cent of managers, Salah will again be the most-selected captain in Fantasy as Liverpool face a Leicester City side who have been poor in defence.

The Foxes have conceded at least twice in six of their last seven matches in all competitions.

Son has scored in four successive appearances, earning 36 points in that run.

The Tottenham Hotspur star has a prolific record against his next opponents, Southampton. He scored five goals across two meetings with them last term, including his career-high haul of 24 points at St Mary’s Stadium.

His team-mate Harry Kane (£12.1m) claimed 21 points in the same match, thanks to one goal and four assists.

The striker has produced 16 shots in the box since Antonio Conte took charge, more than double any other Spurs player.

Look to Liverpool duo

Salah’s team-mates Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8.3m) and Diogo Jota (£8.1m) are also offer strong armband alternatives.

Alexander-Arnold has outscored the Egyptian in seven of Liverpool’s last eight matches, totalling 74 points to Salah’s 58.

Jota’s case for the armband is backed by the fact that his 16 shots and 15 shots in the box in his last four matches are both league-leading totals.

Ronaldo to return?

Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.5m) can also bring in a big return at home to Burnley.

Since making his second debut for Manchester United in Gameweek 4, the Portuguese’s 48 shots, 40 shots in the box and 19 shots on target all rank second in Fantasy.
