Whether you are starting a new school, job or about to return to a football stadium for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, change is something that affects us all.

Clinical psychologist Dr Hazel Harrison has provided some tips in the video above to help people of all ages develop strategies to handle the transition to something new.

"The way that we've been living our lives has been so different to what we were used to before and so we've all had to encounter probably multiple changes and transitions in terms of how we're working, how we're watching football, how we're learning," she says.

"All of these can be potential challenges, they can be really exciting but they can also sometimes feel quite difficult and overwhelming, and it takes a little bit of time to get used to it."

Dr Hazel talks about accepting your feelings, being prepared for the change, talking to friends, concentrating on your strengths and focusing on the positives.
