Wolverhampton Wanderers went unbeaten during the month, beating Fulham, Leeds United and Crystal Palace as they conceded just one goal in their four matches.
Hasenhuttl guided Southampton to home wins over West Bromwich Albion and Everton, while a stoppage-time goal by Jannik Vestergaard earned a 3-3 draw at Chelsea.
A scintillating 6-1 win at his former club Manchester United and a hard-fought victory at Burnley were the highlights for a Tottenham Hotspur side who scored 10 goals in the month.
Despite facing four of last season’s top six, Moyes oversaw a 3-0 win at Leicester City, along with draws against Spurs and Manchester City before a narrow loss to Liverpool.
The 7-2 victory over champions Liverpool was followed by another fine win at Leicester as Villa continued their unbeaten start to the season before losing to Leeds.
