Tottenham Hotspur's new winger Steven Bergwijn (£7.5m) has caught the eye of Fantasy Premier League managers after his dream debut in Gameweek 25.

The 22-year-old arrived from PSV Eindhoven on the back of five goals and 10 assists in this season’s Eredivisie.

And Bergwijn quickly showed his attacking potential in the Premier League by scoring the opener in Spurs' 2-0 home win over Manchester City.

The Dutchman's strike helped him to 10 FPL points, and he has already earned over 40,000 new owners for Spurs' Gameweek 26 visit to Aston Villa.

Villa striker Mbwana Samatta (£6.0m) also enjoyed a successful first appearance in the Premier League.

Indeed, the Tanzanian was among only two forwards in FPL to score in Gameweek 25.

Samatta's strike against AFC Bournemouth helped him collect two bonus points, leaving him with a total of eight points against the Cherries.

Set-piece threat

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes (8.0m) was another new signing who showed plenty of promise.

The Portuguese had scored eight goals and supplied seven assists in 17 league outings for Sporting Lisbon this season.

And he recorded five shots against Wolverhampton Wanderers, a total bettered by only two other players in Gameweek 25.

He was also immediately handed a share of free-kicks and corners for the Red Devils.
