Jurgen Klopp has won the Barclays Manager of the Month award for March.

Klopp's Liverpool were unbeaten in four Premier League matches as they finished the month above Manchester City at the top of the table.

Klopp's March record

His team secured a draw in the Merseyside derby at Everton before consecutive wins over Burnley, Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur.

A "surprised" Klopp received the award at the club's Melwood training ground from Barclays employee and Liverpool fan Kish Patel.

"It was an intense month," Klopp said. "Game after game, but thank you very much!

It is the third time Klopp has claimed the monthly manager award, having won it in September 2016 and then in December last year.

The German won the prize after votes from the public were combined with those of a panel of football experts, finishing ahead of Pep Guardiola, Ralph Hasenhuttl, Brendan Rodgers and Marco Silva on the shortlist.
