With the start of the 2025/26 season fast approaching, we're taking a look at what's new in the Premier League, beginning here with the official match ball: the PUMA Orbita Ultimate PL.
This season marks PUMA’s first as the official ball supplier for the Premier League, following 25 years of the match balls being supplied by Nike.
The new ball will make its first appearance in the competition on Friday 15 August, when Liverpool take on AFC Bournemouth in the opening match of 2025/26.
All about the ball
The PUMA Orbita Ultimate PL features 12 evenly sized panels that ensure precise weight distribution, keeping it perfectly balanced.
Its high-frequency moulding guarantees long-lasting durability, with enlarged and deeper seams designed to improve aerodynamics and maintain shape retention.
The new ball was introduced during the Premier League Summer Series tournament in the United States, enabling players and fans to have their first look at it in match action.
