VOTE: Who's the BEST signing of the January transfer window?

Geuhi, Strand Larsen, Rayan, Gallagher, Semenyo - Transfer Watch

From Semenyo to Gallagher, take your pick from EIGHT standout transfers this winter

Despite a relatively quiet January transfer window, several standout deals still grabbed the headlines.

Manchester City completed a double swoop for Premier League stars Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guehi, while Conor Gallagher sealed his return to the top flight with Tottenham Hotspur. Crystal Palace and AFC Bournemouth also strengthened their attacking options with eye-catching additions.

We've selected EIGHT of the most notable signings - now it's your turn to vote for who you think will prove to be the best acquisition of the January window.

Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace to Man City)

In need of defensive reinforcements Man City recruited one of the league's best centre-backs in Guehi. The former Palace captain led his side to their first-ever major trophy, beating his new employers to lift the 2024/25 FA Cup. With over 100 Premier League appearances under his belt and valuable international experience with England, this is a steal.

Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth to Man City)

The story of Semenyo's rise from non-league to Premier League stardom is nothing short of remarkable. This season, he has continued to excel, with his blistering start at Bournemouth quickly catching the attention of Pep Guardiola. Since joining City, the Ghanaian winger has wasted no time making an impact, scoring four goals and providing one assist in just five appearances for the club. This brings his overall tally for 2025/26 to an impressive 14 goals and four assists.

Jorgen Strand Larsen (Wolves to Crystal Palace)
Strand Larsen has yet to replicate the heights of his impressive 2024/25 season at Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he netted 14 goals and provided four assists in 35 Premier League appearances. However, a move to south London could offer the fresh start he needs after managing just one goal and one assist in the league so far this campaign.

Conor Gallagher (Atletico Madrid to Spurs)

Conor Gallagher’s return to the Premier League has already been memorable, with the box-to-box midfielder playing a key role in Dominic Solanke’s outrageous scorpion-kick goal against Man City. The England international made 77 appearances for Atletico Madrid and also brings Premier League experience from spells with Chelsea, Palace, and West Bromwich Albion. Now 25, Gallagher joins Spurs as a player entering the prime of his career.

Rayan (Vasco to Bournemouth)

The 19-year-old Brazilian made an instant impact on his debut with an assist off the bench to secure Bournemouth's 2-0 win against Wolves. Rayan is less of a dancing-footed winger than Semenyo, and more of a powerhouse striker. In 101 games for Vasco da Gama, many as a substitute, he scored 25 goals - a fine return.

Valentin 'Taty' Castellanos (Lazio to West Ham)

Castellanos has made an immediate impact, scoring the decisive goal against Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup third round, though he has yet to find the net in the league. For the well-travelled Argentina international, this is only a minor setback - he has already racked up 81 goals across four different leagues, including Serie A, LaLiga, MLS, and Liga AUF. A natural centre-forward, Castellanos brings the qualities that could finally bring an end to West Ham's long search for a striker.

Oscar Bobb (Man City to Fulham)
Bobb is a dynamic winger who will strengthen Fulham’s attack as they chase a European spot. The Norwegian’s breakthrough in 2023/24 was special, highlighted by his unforgettable first goal for Man City - a dramatic late winner at Newcastle United that boosted their title hopes. This season, Bobb was a regular starter before an injury setback, and at just 22-years-old, his best is still yet to come.

Angel Gomes (Marseille to Wolves)
Gomes became Manchester United’s youngest-ever debutant in 2017, making his first appearance at just 16 years and 263 days old. Since then, the midfielder has earned four caps for England and competed among the elite in the UEFA Champions League with Marseille. Gomes’ journey has been far from straightforward; he began his career at Portuguese side Boavista before moving to Lille. At Lille, he showcased his talent, amassing 134 appearances, scoring 10 goals, and providing 19 assists.
