VOTE: Who was the best player of Matchweek 18?

We're asking you to select from six contenders for the official Premier League Player of the Matchweek

Matchweek 18 of the 2025/26 Premier League season featured some superb individual performances.

We have picked out six of the best and invite you to vote for your Premier League Player of the Matchweek.

You have until 12:00 GMT on Tuesday 30 December to cast your vote. The result will be announced later in the day.

Rayan Cherki (Forest 1-2 Man City)

Manchester City midfielder Cherki was instrumental against Nottingham Forest, playing in Tijjani Reijnders to set up the opener at the City Ground and move level with Bruno Fernandes at the top of the assists chart for 2025/26.

Cherki then turned scorer himself late on, arrowing a first-time strike through Morgan Gibbs-White's legs and into the Forest net.

Since the start of November, only Fernandes and Erling Haaland can boast more Premier League goal involvements than Cherki's eight.

Patrick Dorgu (Man Utd 1-0 Newcastle)

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim sprang a festive surprise by starting with four at the back, which saw Dorgu move from his usual left wing-back spot to right-wing.

Though Dorgu played in an unfamiliar position, he produced a superb performance by scoring the only goal of the game, his first for the club, and an all-round excellent defensive display.

Martin Dubravka (Burnley 0-0 Everton)

Burnley goalkeeper Dubravka reacted well to prevent Beto's skilful flick from opening the scoring and later produced another great save to deny Thierno Barry's low-driven effort.

Thanks to Dubravka, Scott Parker's side collected their second consecutive draw and third clean sheet of the season.

Kevin Schade (Brentford 4-1 Bournemouth)

Brentford forward Schade scored his second Premier League hat-trick, as the Bees comfortably beat AFC Bournemouth.

The German needed only six minutes to score his first goal, showing strength to shrug off Bafode Diakite’s challenge and apply the finish.

Schade then poked Yehor Yarmoliuk's cross into the roof of the net early in the second half and he rounded off a fine individual display by sealing his treble in stoppage time.

Ollie Watkins (Chelsea 1-2 Aston Villa)

Aston Villa striker Watkins played the role of "super sub" to perfection as his second-half double enabled Unai Emery's side to fight back and stun Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

While Watkins' first goal was fortunate, the forward's match-winning goal was all about precision, as he rose highest to head home and secure Villa's 11th successive victory.

Florian Wirtz (Liverpool 2-1 Wolves)

Liverpool's German playmaker got off the mark for the first time since joining the club in the summer by scoring in their victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In addition to his goal, Wirtz produced a superb through-ball from near the centre circle to Hugo Ekitike, who hit a post.
