With Fantasy Premier League managers facing several difficult decisions on who to buy, keep or sell ahead of the Gameweek 18 deadline at 18:30 GMT on Friday 26 December, some of the world's top Fantasy managers offer their advice.
Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) £10.3m
Nick Harris (@WGTA_Nick): Saka is a hold for me. Many managers will be looking to find funds to allow space for Hugo Ekitike (£8.9m) in their team and as a more expensive asset, Saka will be potentially on the chopping block for some. However, I still consider him to be a really strong FPL option, he is likely to be back on penalties and remains one of the most creative and dangerous forces in the Premier League.
Verdict: Hold
Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth) £7.7m
Pras (@Pras): Despite two goals in the last two matches, Semenyo has been on a relatively barren run since Gameweek 7. I don't think he's an emergency sell, the Brentford game next is fine to hold, but I think medium term he can be sold since the upcoming fixtures, especially Gameweek 19-23 just don't scream hauls.
Verdict: Hold with a view to selling
Jarrod Bowen (West Ham) £7.6m
Oscar (@FPLFocal): There's a strong fixture swing for West Ham United from Gameweek 18 - Fulham (H), Brighton & Hove Albion (H), Wolverhampton Wanderers (A), Nottingham Forest (H). Three home games in their next four and with Bowen you just know he's going to start every game in this busy Winter period, and probably plays 90 every match as well. Big differential at under 10 per cent ownership as well!
Verdict: Buy
Nick Woltemade (Newcastle) £7.3m
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily): Woltemade scored his first Premier League brace in Gameweek 17 and looks like an easy hold now. Newcastle United face a Manchester United side without a clean sheet since Gameweek 7 and without many of their key assets on Boxing Day, before a good run of fixtures including Burnley, Crystal Palace, Leeds United and Wolves. There is some risk of rotated minutes with Yoane Wissa (£7.3m) however Woltemade should score well over this period. If he is your route to Ekitike though it would be ok to sell given Liverpool's fixtures over the next three Gameweeks.
Verdict: Hold/Sell for Ekitike
Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa) £7.2m
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily): Back-to-back braces for Rogers means he's the man in form, playing for the team in-form - one defeat in their last 14 now for Aston Villa. The next two are a real test of their title credentials though, Arsenal and Chelsea, both away. I'm pretty sure Rogers will come in for me in the coming weeks, but I might hold off until those tricky away games are out the way. If you have him though definitely hold.
Verdict: Hold
Igor Thiago (Brentford) £7.1m
Holly Shand (@HollyShand): Thiago is a sell for me right now. Four successive blanks is a concern, coupled with just three shots in this period, showing a significant drop off in his numbers. It seems he's carrying some fitness niggles that's hindering him from reaching the same levels which saw him score 11 goals in 13 to open the campaign.
Verdict: Sell
Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) £5.8m
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily): Despite Richarlison wiping out the clean sheet towards the end of the game at the weekend, Liverpool have looked better defensively in recent weeks - the standout being the match in Italy against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League in my opinion. The next three fixtures in particular, there's points potential at both ends of the pitch for Van Dijk.
Verdict: Hold/Buy
Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Leeds) £5.8m
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily): Calvert-Lewin has now returned in each of his last five League matches registering 43 points in this time and including a 13-pointer in Gameweek 17. Leeds have a difficult set of fixtures including Sunderland who have been excellent defensively at home this season, followed by Liverpool, Man Utd, Newcastle and Fulham. At his price point Calvert-Lewin could be a great budget friendly route which allows managers to make upgrades elsewhere.
Verdict: Hold/Buy
Micheal Keane (Everton) £4.7m
Az Phillips (@FPLBlackbox_Az): It feels like a great time to buy an Everton defender, given five of their next six games are against teams at the lower end of the table. The only reason for hesitancy is the potential return and impact of Jarrad Branthwaite (£5.3m), who is back training on grass and could be available for selection from next month. Still, in the medium term, it's hard to find a better defender than Keane for his price so if you're looking to free up funds or move on someone like Marcos Senesi (£4.9m), he seems a great pick.
Verdict: Buy
Josh King (Fulham) £4.5m
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily): King hasn't started in any of Fulham's last four home fixtures and no longer feels like the best budget midfielder in the game, especially for managers who still have their Bench Boost chip to play. Options like Newcastle's Lewis Miley (£4.4m) and West Ham's Freddie Potts (£4.4m) are £0.1m cheaper, regularly starting and have a nicer run of fixtures.
Verdict: Sell
