Liverpool's Hugo Ekitike has been voted Player of the Matchweek for Matchweek 16.
He becomes the third Liverpool player to be voted Player of the Matchweek this season, following Ryan Gravenberch in Matchweek 5 and Dominik Szoboszlai in Matchweek 3.
Ekitike made it successive Premier League matches in which he has scored a brace, with his match-winning double against Brighton & Hove Albion following on from his goals against Leeds United in a 3-3 draw in Matchweek 15, as he took his tally to seven goals in the competition this season.
The Reds striker’s first goal of the match came with just 46 seconds played against the Seagulls and was the fastest goal of the season, until Mateus Fernandes netted after 28 seconds for West Ham United against Aston Villa a day later.
Ekitike then added his second on 60 minutes with a header from a Mohamed Salah corner.
