Forward tops fan poll as best Premier League player in Matchweek 6

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been voted Player of the Matchweek for Matchweek 6. 

Haaland starred in Man City's 5-1 win against Burnley, providing an assist for Matheus Nunes before scoring a late double to take his season's tally to 15 across all competitions.

His two goals also made Haaland the most prolific Norwegian in Premier League history, with 93 goals, surpassing the 91 of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Haaland picked up 30 per cent of the fan vote in Matchweek 6 to beat his nearest challenger, Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice, who recorded 21 per cent. 

The other six nominees were Sean Longstaff (17 per cent), Robin Roefs (10 per cent), Igor Thiago (eight per cent), Daichi Kamada and Danny Welbeck (five per cent), plus Emiliano Buendia (four per cent).
