Chelsea have completed the signing of winger Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund.
The 20-year-old becomes the Blues' sixth signing of the summer, after Dario Essugo, Estevao Willian, Liam Delap, Mamadou Sarr, and most recently, Joao Pedro.
Gittens arrives following a standout 2024/25 campaign for the German side where he scored 12 goals and provided five assists in 49 appearances.
He told the club's official website: "It’s a great feeling to join such a big club as Chelsea. I can’t wait to learn from everyone in the team and to push myself to the max here. It’s an amazing feeling."
Gittens' career so far
Born on 8 August 2004 in Berkshire, England, Gittens first got a taste of academy football with his local club Reading.
He later had a brief spell with Chelsea's Under-9s before returning to Reading where he would showcase his potential and eventually join Manchester City’s academy in 2018.

After two years at Manchester City, he joined Borussia Dortmund where he impressed in their youth set-up, scoring three goals and providing three assists as they won the Under-19 Bundesliga title in 2021/22.
The winger was rewarded with his senior debut in April 2022, and went on to feature 107 times for Dortmund, producing 17 goals and 14 assists.
Gittens' arrival continues Chelsea's growing Man City academy connection, joining fellow graduates Tosin Adarabioyo, Delap, Romeo Lavia and Cole Palmer - all under the guidance of former City coach Enzo Maresca.
He has represented England at various youth levels, winning the Under-19 European Championship in 2022.
When could Gittens feature for Chelsea?
Gittens' first match in Chelsea colours could be their FIFA Club World Cup semi-final against Fluminense on 8 July.
Chelsea start their Premier League campaign at home to Crystal Palace on 17 August.
