Chelsea have signed forward Joao Pedro from Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 23-year-old, who will wear the No 20 shirt, becomes the Blues' fifth summer arrival, following Liam Delap, Dario Essugo, Estevao Willian and Mamadou Sarr's moves to Stamford Bridge.
Joao Pedro told Chelsea's official website: "Everyone knows this is a big club with a great history. They had brilliant players in the past and have brilliant players now.
"So I am excited to join and you know when you are a Chelsea player you must think one thing — win."
Brighton head coach Fabian Hurzeler told his club's official website: "This is a good move for all parties. It’s an excellent deal for the club, and a good return on a significant investment in an area of the pitch where we have a lot of competition and are already well served in terms of our attacking talent.
"It’s also an exciting move for Joao: it gives him the opportunity to play UEFA Champions League football this coming season, and he will of course be keen to cement his position in the Brazil team ahead of the World Cup next summer.
"Joao has given us some wonderful moments – during my time and before I came to the club – so on behalf of everyone I would like to thank him for his service over the past two seasons and wish him the best for the future."

Joao Pedro's career so far
Born in Ribeirao Preto, Sao Paulo, Joao Pedro moved to Rio de Janeiro to begin his youth career at Fluminense before going on to make his senior debut for the club in 2019.
The forward moved to Watford in January 2020 and spent two-and-a-half seasons at Vicarage Road before joining Brighton in the summer of 2023.
Across two campaigns for the Seagulls, Joao Pedro made 58 Premier League appearances, scoring 19 goals and providing nine assists.
He made his international debut for Brazil against Colombia in November 2023, one of three international caps so far.
When could Joao Pedro feature for Chelsea?
The Brazilian will join up with the Blues for their Club World Cup campaign in the United States and will be eligible to make his debut for the club in Friday's quarter-final against Palmeiras.
Capable of operating across the front line, as an inside forward, No 10 or striker, Joao Pedro adds to the vast array of attacking options available to head coach Enzo Maresca. These already include Delap, Estevao Willian, Cole Palmer, Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke, Christopher Nkunku, Tyrique George, Marc Guiu and Enzo Fernandez, who thrived as a central attacking midfielder last season.
Joao Pedro's Premier League debut for Chelsea could come at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday 17 August.
