Mac Allister wins EA SPORTS Player of the Month award
Alexis Mac Allister is the EA SPORTS Player of the Month for April 2025, winning the award for the first time.
Mac Allister scored twice and registered one assist in five matches for Liverpool last month, helping the club seal their second Premier League title.
It is the first time a player from Argentina has received the EA SPORTS Player of the Month accolade since January 2020, when Sergio Aguero won it with Manchester City. Overall, Mac Allister becomes only the fourth Argentinian to claim the prize.

“I think the secret [to thriving] is my team-mates,” Mac Allister said on Liverpool's website. “I always say that without them this wouldn’t be possible.
“And to play with these kinds of players is always easier because you can make a mistake or something like that and they will be there to solve it. They are the main thing and I just always try to help in the way I can.
“We want [to kick on next season] now that we have won the Premier League. We know that this team has the mentality to go and win more trophies.”
The 26-year-old's first goal involvement of the month came with a brilliant long-range strike in a 3-2 loss at Fulham.
In the following match, Mac Allister’s corner set up Virgil van Dijk to head a vital late winner against West Ham United, and the Argentinian ended the month by giving Liverpool the lead in the 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur that confirmed the Reds as champions.

Mac Allister topped an eight-man shortlist after the public's votes on the EA SPORTS website were combined with those of a panel of football experts.
He is the second Liverpool player to win the award this season, after Mohamed Salah, who won it in November 2024 and again in February 2025.

Pereira named Barclays Manager of the Month
Vitor Pereira has been voted April 2025's Barclays Manager of the Month, winning the award for the first time in his Premier League career.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach claims the accolade after overseeing a perfect month, with his side winning all five matches in April to confirm their Premier League status for next season.
“It was a very, very good month for us. We were consistent, we were competitive, but this is the work of a lot of people in the shadows. We achieve nothing alone, without the staff, without the supporters, without these people working in the kitchen, in the gym and everywhere. The reward is for everybody,” Pereira said on Wolves' website.
“Ipswich maybe was the game that was in the right time. The points at that time were not like today. Today, we can play with more confidence, more freedom to create, but it’s about the players, they deserve everything because they are on the pitch.
“We have a fantastic chemistry between everybody, the club, the players, the supporters in the city, and I feel part of this family.”
Pereira is the fifth Portuguese manager to win the prize overall, after Jose Mourinho, Andre Villas-Boas, Nuno Espirito Santo and Bruno Lage, three of whom also managed Wolves.
