Jones leaves Luton Town to take over at St Mary's from Ralph Hasenhuttl

Southampton have appointed Nathan Jones as their new first team manager.

The 49-year-old joins from Luton Town to take over at Southampton after the departure of Ralph Hasenhuttl this week.

Speaking to the club's official website, Jones said: "I'm really proud to be given this opportunity.

"I know a lot about the club from back in the days of The Dell, to coming here to St Mary’s, and it’s a wonderful football club."

In his first spell at Luton between 2016 and 2019, Jones guided the Hatters from League Two to League One.
