The Premier League clubs' pre-season friendly programme got under way on Saturday as Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur both recorded 3-0 victories.
Firmino influence
Roberto Firmino scored one and set up another as the Premier League champions eased to victory over Stuttgart in Salzburg.
The Brazilian opened the scoring from Curtis Jones's centre before teeing up Naby Keita to strike from close range five minutes before half-time.
Rhian Brewster rounded off a comfortable win for the Reds, whose new signing Konstantinos Tsimikas came on for the second half.

Son double
Son Heung-min was twice on target as Spurs scored three unanswered goals against Ipswich Town.
Son's brace came inside the opening half-hour after Ryan Sessegnon had struck early on following good approach play by Dele Alli, who also set up Son's first goal.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, the midfielder signed recently from Southampton, was given his first start, while half-time substitute and fellow new arrival Joe Hart kept a clean sheet for the 45 minutes he was on.

Sigurdsson sparks comeback
Everton also scored three but had to complete a mighty fightback to salvage a draw against Blackpool.
The Blues found themselves 3-0 down after just 11 minutes.
However Gylfi Sigurdsson proved the Blues' inspiration, sending over the corner from which Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored a 22nd-minute header.
The Icelander then scored a first-half penalty before levelling the match with a free-kick on 72 minutes.
