Hull City have named Mike Phelan as their head coach on a permanent basis.
The 54-year-old was appointed having become caretaker manager in July, after the departure of Steve Bruce.
The Tigers won two of their opening three Premier League matches this season, leading to Phelan being named the Barclays Manager of the Month for August.
"It's exciting to step over that threshold into management and I'm looking forward to working with this group of players that has done so well so far," Phelan told hullcitytigers.com.
Phelan's first match as permanent head coach will be on Saturday, when he takes his side to AFC Bournemouth.
