Premier League Scholars Achieve Record-Breaking Results in 2025
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of our Premier League Scholars in this year’s Level 3 results.
Their commitment, resilience, and ambition, both on and off the pitch have produced an exceptional set of outcomes across A Levels, BTECs, and the Sporting Excellence Professional Apprenticeship. We congratulate every scholar, along with their families and the dedicated Club staff who have supported them throughout the year.
Academic Highlights – 2025 Level 3 Outcomes
This year saw a significant rise in A Level entry from our scholars—76 exam entries across 17 different subjects, up from 55 in 2024. The breadth of study reflects both ambition and academic commitment across the Academy system.
The A Level achievement rate and pass rate both increased, both outperforming national averages. Nearly half of all grades (47%) were A–B, and 18% achieved the highest A–A* grades. Scholars excelled particularly in subjects such as Mathematics, Economics, and Business, alongside strong performances in Spanish, Physics, and Politics. Several scholars also completed AS Level examinations, laying a strong foundation for continued study into Year 2.
In the Sporting Excellence Professional Apprenticeship, performance remained exceptional. With a 96.5% Achievement Rate, an impressive 96% of scholars were awarded Distinction grades, highlighting their ability to thrive in a dual development environment of sport and education.
Our scholars also performed exceptionally well across the Level 3 BTEC pathways.
More than 100 scholars successfully completed the Extended Diploma (equivalent to 3 A Levels), achieving a 100% pass rate—with 78% securing top-tier grades of DDD to D*D*D*. In addition, many scholars completed the Diploma (2 A Level equivalent) as part of a hybrid education programme, achieving a 99% pass rate, with 55% gaining high-grade outcomes of DD to D*D*.
These outcomes not only reflect the aspirational mindset of our scholars, but also the expertise and dedication of our Club staff and the vital support of families. They are a testament to the exceptional development environments within our Academies, environments that align elite player development with personal growth through life-enriching experiences.
As our scholars take the next steps in their journey, we are confident they will go on to thrive, whether that’s within football, further education, or ambitious careers beyond the game.
