Jose Mourinho "couldn't be happier" at the early impact made by Romelu Lukaku since joining Manchester United

Lukaku has two goals in three pre-season appearances since signing from Everton, including the opener in Friday's 2-0 win over Manchester City.

Asked about the Belgian's power and finishing ability, Mourinho told manutd.com: "We also saw the team player that holds the ball, that waits for support, that allows the team to leave pressure zones and to keep possession in the opposition half.

"People look at goals and chances but I have a different perspective and I couldn't be happier with what he's doing."
