Antonio Conte issued a stark warning for his Premier League rivals by saying that this is but a transitional year for Chelsea.
The Italian, who has been nominated for what would be his fourth Barclays Manager of the Month award of the season, says the Blues, who are seven points clear at the top of the Premier League, are building for a successful future, and that this season is just the cornerstone for better things to come.
"When you start work with a new club you hope to stay for many years because it means you are working very well and you have the possibility to improve your players and grow together," Conte told Chelseafc.com. "We are putting great foundations in place for the present but above all for the future. It’s a transition for Chelsea."
