Toni Thorne

Toni joined the PLCF Board of Trustees in 2022. She is a Women of the Future UK Awardee, Barbados National Youth Awardee, and was the first Black or Caribbean person to sit on the Global Youth Leader's European Summit.

As a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, Toni was also listed as JCI International's "Top Outstanding Young Person of the World" from the Caribbean.

A former Huffington Post blogger and columnist to two of Barbados' leading publications, Toni's philanthropic roles have included missionary activities in Haiti, and she has also worked to fight the stigma associated with HIV and AIDS, through creation of a charity programme for HIV-infected orphans in Jamaica.

A US State Department Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative Professional Fellow, a Cambridge Trust Scholar and a Chevening Scholar, Toni was one of two Cambridge MBA students listed on the prestigious Poets and Quants "Brightest and Best" list.

She currently works at J.P. Morgan Asset Management and is host of the Caribbean Economic Forum. Toni is passionate about work which will transform the lives of women and children across the United Kingdom and the Caribbean.
