Rupen Shah

Rupen joined the PLCF Board of Trustees in 2022. He is Deputy Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee and is the charity lead Trustee for sustainability.

Having grown up only a stone's throw away from Wembley, Rupen was inspired by football from an early age.

His first role in the industry was as a steward at Arsenal FC.

After qualifying as a chartered accountant with KPMG, and spending several years with the firm, he went on to become the Chief Financial Officer of the Football Foundation.

He is currently a Non-Executive Director at UK Sport and The Legal Education Foundation.

Alongside his professional journey, Rupen has substantial experience working with young people through his voluntary work with Arsenal in the Community.

He has delivered coaching clinics around the world and his work with the Arsenal Academy has supported the development and progression of elite female players.

Rupen believes in the transformational effect that sport, and in particular football, can have on people's lives and society.
