Tottenham Hotspur have granted Hugo Lloris permission to speak to other clubs about a transfer after the club announced that he will not be part of their tour to Australia and Asia.

The 36-year-old could end an 11-year stay with Spurs.

"Hugo Lloris has been granted permission not to travel in order to explore prospective transfer opportunities," a statement read on the club's official website.

The Frenchman has been one of the Premier League's best goalkeepers, playing 361 times in the competition and keeping 127 clean sheets.

Lloris's number of shutouts has seen him placed joint-12th in the League's history.

Spurs are due to play West Ham United, Leicester City and Lion City Sailors in their Asia-Pacific tour and have included their new summer signings, as well as some high-profile players.

James Maddison could face his former club Leicester, while the travelling party also includes Manor Solomon and Guglielmo Vicario, who is expected to replace Lloris.

Harry Kane is also named in the squad amidst speculation about his future.
