Taiwo Awoniyi was the Forest hero, scoring the only goal of the game on 19 minutes.

He got in behind Gabriel, and although the Arsenal defender managed to get a foot to clear the ball, it inadvertently came off the striker and bounced into the net. Awoniyi has now scored five goals this month.

Morgan Gibbs-White had an opportunity to double the hosts' lead midway through the second half, but his shot from a narrow angle struck the side netting.

The miss didn't prove to be costly, as Forest prevented Arsenal from scoring on the road for only the second time this season.

It was their first clean sheet since February and, despite spending 114 days in the relegation zone, Forest will be playing in the Premier League again next season. They move on to 37 points in 16th place.

Everton claim precious point

Wolves took the lead when Hwang Hee-chan followed up after Adama Traore had run from deep inside his own half and forced a low save from Jordan Pickford.

But in the ninth minute of stoppage time, three Everton defenders - James Tarkowski, Michael Keane and Yerry Mina - all combined from a free-kick for the latter to scramble the ball into the net.

A big point takes Everton's total to 33 in 17th, but they can still drop into the relegation zone if 18th-placed Leeds United beat West Ham United on Sunday.

Can Leeds stay in the fight?

Leeds will travel to London to face a West Ham team who reached the UEFA Europa Conference League final on Thursday and, thanks to Everton's draw at Wolves, are now safe from relegation.
