Harry Kane (£11.6m) became the second player to surpass the 100-point mark in 2022/23 Fantasy Premier League on Saturday.

His goal and assist in Tottenham Hotspur’s 4-3 win over Leeds United took the forward to 102 points, second only to the 123 of Manchester City’s Erling Haaland (£12.2m), who blanked at home for the first time this season in Gameweek 16.

Kane has now failed to score or assist in only three of 15 appearances this season.

As managers can now make unlimited free transfers before the next deadline on 26 December, pairing Kane and Haaland up front could prove a popular move.

Newcastle trio on top

Newcastle United continue to have a major influence on 2022/23 Fantasy.

Nick Pope (£5.3m), Kieran Trippier (£5.9m) and Miguel Almiron (£5.8m) are the top scorers in their respective positions.

Their 1-0 home win over Chelsea took Trippier to 96 points for the campaign, 22 points ahead of the next-best defender, William Saliba (£5.3m).

Top scorers in each position
Position Player Points
GKP Pope (NEW) 70
DEF Trippier (NEW) 96
MID Almiron (NEW) 93
FWD Haaland (MCI) 123

Almiron has 93 points, with his assist against Chelsea meaning he has blanked only once in his last eight outings.

The Paraguayan is the second most-bought player in Gameweek 17, with 127,00+ transfers in taking his ownership to over 33 per cent.

Odegaard better than Saka?

Martin Odegaard (£6.4m) is now Arsenal’s highest-scoring midfielder or forward this term after scoring both goals in their 2-0 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Norwegian is level with Gabriel Martinelli (£6.8m) on 77 points, while Bukayo Saka (£8.0m) is on 76 points.

Odegaard could emerge as a key figure in squad rebuilds by Gameweek 17.

Along with Almiron, Haaland and Mohamed Salah (£12.8m), he is not involved in the FIFA World Cup 2022 and is likely to avoid rotation when the Premier League returns.

Leicester defence still going strong

Leicester City’s defence continue to provide huge value in Fantasy.

A 2-0 win at West Ham United was their sixth clean sheet in their last eight outings.

Indeed, Leicester right-back Timothy Castagne (£4.7m) and goalkeeper Danny Ward (£4.1m) both rank among the five highest-scoring players from Gameweek 9 onwards.
