Budget-friendly forwards are continuing to provide excellent value at the start of 2020/21 Fantasy Premier League.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.6m) has been the standout player among the favourably-priced frontmen.

The Everton striker has scored in all four of his opening matches, totalling six goals and 37 points.

He has gained 2.65 million new owners, which is over a million more than any other striker in FPL.

And his price rise of £0.6m is also top among all players this term.

Calvert-Lewin's GW4 goal

Calvert-Lewin is not the only mid-priced forward who has enjoyed a prolific opening four Gameweeks.

Callum Wilson (£6.4m) is just three points behind Calvert-Lewin, having scored four goals and provided an assist for Newcastle United.

And Neal Maupay (£6.6m) and Patrick Bamford (£5.8m) are also among the six top-scoring forwards in FPL.

Both have blanked only once in their first four appearances.

Heroic Villan

Meanwhile, Aston Villa's 7-2 win over Liverpool has brought Ollie Watkins (£5.9m) to the attention of FPL managers.

He was the highest-scoring forward in Gameweek 4, claiming 19 points thanks to a hat-trick and an assist.

Like Wilson, Watkins is available at a price cheaper than his starting cost, having dropped £0.1m since the beginning of the season.

Managers should now look to take advantage of the value offered up front and strengthen other areas of their squads.

By relying on the value forwards for goals, they can free up cash for big-hitting captains such as Mohamed Salah (£12.2m) and Kevin De Bruyne (£11.7m) in midfield.
