WHO'S GOING TO BE YOUR

MAN OF THE MATCH?

Trossard and Maupay secure Brighton's first win in 12

Superb strikes from Leandro Trossard and Neal Maupay gave Brighton & Hove Albion their first win in 12 matches with a 2-0 home success against Brentford.

The Seagulls took the lead on 34 minutes as Trossard timed his run to perfection to meet Enock Mwepu's forward pass and produce a sublime lofted finish over Alvaro Fernandez.

Former Brentford striker Maupay doubled the lead nine minutes later, receiving the ball just outside the box and firing clinically into the top-right corner.

The visitors pressed forward after the break and it took a magnificent save from Robert Sanchez to keep them out as he diverted Shandon Baptiste's drive away with his left knee.

Marc Cucurella then brilliantly headed Ethan Pinnock's goalbound effort off the line to ensure a clean sheet and Brighton's first win since 19 September.

The Seagulls move up to ninth on 23 points, four places and three points ahead of Brentford.
