Two first-half goals got Manchester United back to winning ways as Middlesbrough were beaten 2-0 at Leigh Sports Village.
Zach Dearnley, pictured above, put United ahead on seven minutes, assisted by Aidan Barlow.
Boro fought back but in first-half stoppage time Ethan Hamilton doubled United's lead with a deflected shot.
Despite hitting the woodwork in the second half Boro were unable to find a response.
A first PL2 win in four matches lifts United to second in Division 2, on 22 points, two behind leaders Reading. Boro are seventh on 16 points.

In Division 2's other match, Jack Clarke struck late as Aston Villa came from behind to beat Southampton 2-1.
