Unbeaten leaders Manchester City are seeking a fourth successive Premier League triumph as they entertain local rivals Manchester United, who are looking for a third straight top-flight win of their own.

Team news

Man City have no new injury concerns and Ilkay Gundogan and Nicolas Otamendi returned to action during Wednesday's UEFA Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Pep Guardiola is only missing Kevin De Bruyne (knee) and long-term absentees Claudio Bravo (Achilles) and Eliaquim Mangala (knee).

Man Utd also have no new injury worries, and Jose Mourinho has said there is a chance Romelu Lukaku could be available for the derby.

Did you know?

Man City have not lost any of their last 53 Premier League matches against sides starting the day outside the top four (W44 D9 L0), since a 4-0 loss at Everton in January 2017.

Man Utd, who won 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium last season despite being 2-0 down, are looking to achieve a second successive PL victory at the ground for only the second time, having previously done so in November 2008 and April 2010.

Pep Guardiola has never lost consecutive home league matches against a single opponent in his managerial career.

Anthony Martial could become the seventh player to score in five or more successive PL matches for Man Utd after Ruud van Nistelrooy, Wayne Rooney, Eric Cantona, Dwight Yorke, Cristiano Ronaldo and Robin van Persie. Van Nistelrooy achieved that feat four times, while Rooney managed it twice.

Referee: Anthony Taylor
Assistants:
 Gary Beswick, Adam Nunn
