Perhaps Kelechi Iheanacho was watching and taking notes when Alan Shearer and Ian Wright warned Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker that the trick he pulled off against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend was dangerous if repeated.

Alisson clipped the ball brilliantly past Brighton’s Anthony Knockaert last Saturday, but when he tried a Cruyff turn this weekend he got caught in possession by Leicester City’s Iheanacho, who crossed for Rachid Ghezzal to score at King Power Stadium.

Shearer and Wright had said that Premier League strikers would not let themselves get tricked again by the Brazilian.

“I am angry that I made a mistake that put the team in a difficult situation,” Alisson told ESPN Brasil.

“When one person makes a mistake, it affects everyone and everyone fought back together. We have to improve still but the result is what matters at the moment."
