With Kevin De Bruyne (£9.9m) set for three months out injured, Fantasy Premier League managers have been left with a dilemma.
De Bruyne is still owned by 17.1 per cent of FPL managers despite his price going down after a rush of sales.
But a ready-made replacement for the Belgian is fellow Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva (£7.6m).
"The City midfield is still a bit of a minefield but with KDB ruled out for a couple of weeks, maybe even months, we've got to look closer at it," says expert Mark McGettigan in the latest FPL Show.
"I've tripled up on Man City and... Bernardo Silva, it looks like he's going to keep his place."
Az Phillips expects Silva to become the champions' go-to player for their title defence.
"With Pep's comments after the Community Shield and with his performance against Arsenal, Bernardo Silva looks the most secure pick in that Man City line-up," Phillips says.
"Pep's said he's going to start phasing out David Silva this year a bit. If Bernardo can nail down some starts, we've got a great option there."
